SUPER WELDING ALLOYS

High performance nickel and cobalt based alloys for service in high temperatures. They are especially suitable for aerospace use in gas turbines for jet aircraft, and in severe corrosive chemical applications.

Superalloys are particularly well suited for demanding applications because of their ability to retain most of their strength even after long exposure times down to 650° C ( 1200 °F).

Their versatility is given by their ability to combine high strength with good low temperature ductility and excellent surface stability.

The three major classes of superalloys are nickel, iron and cobalt based alloys.

The Inconel® range of high temperature alloys include 625 with a combination of Ni-Cr-Mo-Cb it has excellent strength to 815° C (1500 °F) good oxidation resistance and good resistance to aqueous corrosion.

Waspalloy® is an age hardenable nickel base superalloy with very good strength and temperatures up to 980° C (1800° F)
